Cheapskate was inspired by my humble beginnings, strong work ethic, and my experience as a social worker in New Jersey, where I saw how many families wanted meaningful experiences but often had limited funds after paying their bills. I created Cheapskate to help people discover affordable events, dining, resources, and experiences based on their budget, interests, and location—making it easier to enjoy life without overspending. At the same time, I wanted to support local businesses by helping them increase visibility, attract more customers, and avoid the challenge many face of opening their doors but struggling to maintain enough traffic to stay open. Cheapskate was built to serve both the community and the businesses within it—creating a platform where people can find great local experiences while helping businesses grow and thrive.
